This is a remarkable EARLY 1900'S HAND PAINTED ITALIAN OLD WORLD DECORATIVE PANEL. Painted on paper on old composite board which is screwed along the front perimeter of the piece, the panel has a wooden frame in back and appears to have been once hinged as can be seen in the photos. The panel features numerous design elements, including acanthus leaf and scroll designs, cornucopias, and even a painter's palette with brushes.... Beautiful faded colors with a time worn, distressed patina, complete with blemishes, spotting and imperfections, this is the perfect piece to evoke that old world European ambiance. Panel measures approximately 59" tall by 37 1/2" wide and about 1" thick.
