This nearly 100 year old framed oil on canvas just came in this week. Signed E.R. FRICK '14 SAN DIEGO CAL., this painting, reminiscent of "Treasure Island", depicts a group of pirates on the beach of an island, the foreground figure carrying the "treasure chest". One can imagine they are scurrying to reach their ship, there is a suggestion of a storm brewing, palm trees swaying in the high winds in the background. Colorful, bold imagery---great for a den or library or even children's room. Measures approximately 30" by 40" in what appears to be its original frame.
